About The Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited student position in Dr. Jielun Zhang’s research lab. Only University of North Dakota students are eligible. The position is classified as non-exempt and pays $20.00 per hour, with a workload of 5–10 hours per week. It is not available for remote or hybrid work. The position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment. Applicants must complete a Criminal History Background Check and, upon hire, verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form.
Requirements
- Be a current graduate student in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Have basic experience with cybersecurity and programming, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Successfully complete a Criminal History Background Check.
- Submit a cover letter, resume, and class schedule for full consideration.
- Disclose any current or past-12-month employment with the University of North Dakota, the North Dakota University System, or another North Dakota State agency, including the agency or department and weekly hours worked, if applicable.
- Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Develop and test security solutions.
- Analyze experimental data.
- Assist in preparing research reports.
