About The Position

The Domestic Recruitment Team is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to develop, support and participate in student recruitment activities. This unique role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and engaging work environment, support meaningful experiences for prospective students, and help showcase the culture and community at Olds College, both on campus and throughout the province.

Requirements

  • Must have a driver's license.
  • Highly motivated, positive, and enthusiastic.
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel to recruitment events outside of Olds, Alberta, which may require overnight stays.
  • Willingness to participate in promotional content, including social media and appearing in photos or content for marketing and college communications.

  • Agricultural interest/experience: Someone who is able to connect with prospective students and other stakeholders about how our programs are connected to the industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, and launch recruitment strategies that turn prospective leads into registered students.
  • Conduct market research and craft insightful briefs to inform recruitment decisions.
  • Plan and lead recruitment events, including high school tours and trade shows.
  • Build and nurture relationships with counselors, community leaders, and parents.
  • Deliver presentations about college programs.
  • Recruit, coach, and manage student assistants and ambassadors.
  • Provide professional development and leadership to the student-led support team.
  • Identify ways to improve business processes and operations.
  • Manage the recruitment budget effectively.
