About The Position

The Student Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for achieving recruitment goals in assigned regions. This process includes fostering local interest, raising awareness of Jubilee Academies, promoting assigned campuses and available grades, securing applicants, and nurturing families through the persistence pipeline.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Texas Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
Spanish Speaking and writing skills required.
Excellent English and Spanish written and verbal communication skills.
3-5 years of experience in Recruitment and Promotion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Google Drive), with the ability to quickly learn new technologies (SchoolMint, Slack, video conferencing apps, etc.).
Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses and to and from community events/meetings.

Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
Organizational skills, Interpersonal Skills, Public Speaking, Data Entry, Computer Skills, and Event Planning.
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule (evenings, weekends, select holidays).
Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in extreme cold or wintry precipitation.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Execute student recruitment strategies that target families with school-aged children within a 5-mile radius of the assigned campus.
Attend community events and informational fairs to inform families and promote brand awareness of Jubilee Academies.
Execute off-site presentations to daycares, housing authorities, community centers, and other community organizations.
Participate in neighborhood walks and door-to-door presentations in neighborhoods near schools.
Assist parents in completing a paper or online application.
Nurture applicants immediately after applying by giving them a call or texting them to serve as their enrollment point of contact.
Field incoming calls and texts from the region to answer any questions prospective families might have about Jubilee.
Host campus open houses.
Monitor the quality of applications submitted and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Maintain and cultivate a solid waitlist after the lottery by providing communication and sustained recruitment efforts.
Oversee Welcome to Jubilee Academies orientation planning, which includes logistics, production, content coordination, and attendance management to achieve 90% attendance.
Monitor progress towards goals and make meaningful and timely adjustments.
Collaborate with other campus staff on recruitment and engagement events to greet and nurture relationships with new families.
Coordinate Info Sessions and Open Houses to onboard new families.
Lead the planning and execution of specific new parent events to welcome new parents to the campus and help them integrate and get acclimated to the campus culture and expectations.
Assess community assets within a 5-mile radius of the campus and establish novel community partnerships with these for the recruitment benefit of the campus.
Maintain a positive working relationship with community partners to sustain and expand upon new partnerships.
Maintain a current list of partnerships and contact information available to campuses as needed.
Demonstrate effective outcomes and results, and wants to be held accountable for them.
Works with urgency and purpose to drive student outcomes.
Must be available to work some nights and weekends and maintain a flexible schedule.
All other duties as assigned.
Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovative techniques in maintenance operations.
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Joins weekly check-ins with manager to get ongoing direction, feedback, and coaching.
Participates in quarterly meetings and monthly professional development opportunities.
Convey the charter's mission to the public and encourage support in accomplishing the mission.
Illustrate understanding of Charter and community needs and begin activities to meet those needs.
Demonstrate the use of productive and efficient skills to raise community and parent involvement.
Actively participate in student recruitment efforts.
Encourage a constructive, thoughtful climate for learning.
Promote fairness of students and staff from all cultural backgrounds.
Communicate with students and staff in an effective manner that promotes and sustains the Jubilee culture.
