AISS is seeking an innovative and dynamic Student Recruitment Specialist to join a team dedicated to utilizing individual talents to collaboratively reach goals; embedding creativity in our work to address issues in new ways; displaying integrity through hard work, honesty, & respect; taking the initiative for self-improvement to expand knowledge & skills; and demonstrating the ability to adapt to dynamic shifts in environments and duties. This position requires designing special programs, outreach initiatives, and targeted American Indian/Indigenous recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts at The University of New Mexico-Central Campus. The Student Recruitment Specialist will serve as the primary liaison with internal and external constituencies on all facets relating to outreach programming and represent AISS and UNM at local, regional, and national recruitment events. Managing and coordinating community workshops; arranging campus visits and tours for prospective students and parents; customer service and networking experience; advanced interpersonal and written skills; and demonstrated experience collaborating and interacting with various university units/divisions, tribal governments, higher education programs, and entities specific to American Indian/Indigenous constituents are integral components of the Student Recruitment Specialist role.
