About The Position

The part-time Work Study Student Photographer supports Campus Recreation’s marketing and communication efforts by producing high-quality photography and video. The role documents events, programs, services, student engagement, and facility usage for promotional and digital channels while following University brand standards. The position is for the 2026–2027 academic year and requires a work-study award.

Requirements

Must have received a work-study award.
Must successfully complete a background check.
Must be flexible to accommodate a variable schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and University breaks.

Nice To Haves

Academic or non-academic experience in photography, videography, social media, or communications.
Experience using a DSLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode.
Proficiency with Adobe editing software, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact positively with patrons and employees.

Responsibilities

Capture high-quality photographs and video aligned with Campus Recreation’s marketing goals and branding guidelines.
Attend events and programs to document student engagement and facility usage.
Edit and prepare visual content for social media, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
Maintain consistency in visual content to support a cohesive brand identity.
Curate and organize visual assets for marketing and promotional use.
Work with the marketing team, including the Project Coordinator and Assistant Director, to fulfill creative requests.
Coordinate photography schedules, shot lists, and production details with team members.
Represent Campus Recreation as a brand ambassador on and off the job.
Maintain open and frequent communication with the supervisory team.
Engage positively with patrons and staff in diverse settings.
