About The Position

The Student Pastor will create an exciting and engaging environment that leads students to discover and fully own faith in Jesus, reaching and engaging disconnected students in the community. This role works closely with the Lead Student Pastor to recruit, develop, and equip leaders. The Student Pastor also partners with the Campus Pastor and campus team to support and implement the campus vision and strategy, ensuring Student Ministry aligns with the overall mission and ministry of the church. This individual must fit within our collaborative culture and build teams that represents the campus and the community in areas of gender, ethnicity, and age. This position moves forward the mission and values of Central Christian Church. The mission of Central is to lead people to discover and fully own their faith in Jesus. Requirements

Student ministry experience
Multi-site church experience
Familiar with the popular culture of students
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Must align with the vision, and values of Central Christian Church and be committed to doing Central no harm
Financially support the vision of Central Christian Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.
Growing in your personal relationship with Christ, while developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the Church.
Model biblical integrity in all things:
Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Central Christian Church employees, defined by the Employee Handbook.
Be an active Owner at Central Christian Church, making every effort to uphold the six staff values of Central.

Responsibilities

Create a safe and engaging environment that attracts students
Connect students to the Central Student Ministry
Develop students for the next step in their faith
Participate as a Student Team Member
Manage communication between Student Team and Campus Pastor
Provide and implement strategic leadership and initiatives for student ministry
Develop and adhere to safety procedures, in cooperation with Campus and Leadership teams
Develop, maintain, and grow partnerships with families, school administrators, and organizations
Support the Campus Pastor in his/her leadership of the campus by: Working in the First Impressions and Groups ministries, as needed
Handling benevolence requests
Support community outreach efforts
Act as a back up for Campus Pastor in his or her absence
Other duties as assigned
Recruit, develop and empower adult leaders to serve within the ministry
Recruit, develop and empower students to serve in other ministries
Attend all church wide/campus specific events
Attend weekly team meetings in student ministries
Attend Campus Lead Team meetings as required
Pastor-on-Call Rotation
Other duties as assigned
