About The Position

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for Intermediate Spanish I (ESP2991, Section B) for the Fall 2026 academic period. This course involves a review of grammar, development of oral and written comprehension and expression, reading, and vocabulary, with oral and written practice.

The position requires expertise in teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), including B1/B2 grammar, culture and literature of Hispanic countries, composition, and ELE didactics. Experience in hybrid teaching environments using platforms like Brightspace is essential. The role also includes class management and administrative tasks, and a predisposition to work in teams.

Requirements

• Native or near-native speaker (C2) of Spanish.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Spanish M.A. holder.
• Registered full-time in a Doctorate Program.
• Competence and experience in teaching Spanish ELE (B1/B2 grammar, culture and literature of Hispanic countries, composition, and Didactics of ELE).
• Expertise in teaching hybrid courses (Brightspace and other virtual teaching technologies).
• Class management and administrative tasks.
• Ability to work in teams.
