About The Position

The Parking and Visitor Engagement Assistant role provides students with an opportunity to work outdoors, monitoring parking lots and assisting visitors on campus. This position requires the ability to work independently, possess strong attention to detail, and be capable of walking for extended periods in various weather conditions. Students in this role will support Parking Services by overseeing assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked in their designated areas according to their permits. They will also enforce compliance with timed and reserved spaces and lots, and issue citations to violators. Training will be provided for operating a portable two-way radio for communication with Parking Services. Additionally, students may be stationed at the Visitor and Parking Information Booth at the entrance to the Visitors Lot, where they will greet visitors, provide general campus information and directions, and potentially issue parking permits. Assistance with traffic control during special events may also be required. Requirements

  • Must be able to provide original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents for I-9 completion.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
