The Parking and Visitor Engagement Assistant role provides students with an opportunity to work outdoors, monitoring parking lots and assisting campus visitors. Key responsibilities include independently monitoring assigned parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked in the correct permit-designated areas, enforcing compliance with timed and reserved spaces, and issuing citations to violators. Student employees will be trained to operate a portable two-way radio for communication with Parking Services. Additionally, they may staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth, welcoming visitors, providing campus information and directions, and issuing parking permits. This role may also involve assisting with traffic control during special events. A set weekly schedule for the semester is provided, with a minimum shift length of 2 hours required.
