About The Position
The Student Nurse Academy (SNA) at Deaconess offers hands-on hospital experience designed to help nursing students grow, learn, and prepare for a successful RN career. As part of the SNA team, students will work alongside experienced Registered Nurses in a supportive, precepted environment to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and gain real-world patient care experience while still in nursing school. The program aims to provide students with hands-on experience, direct mentorship, exposure to clinical equipment and patient care procedures, and opportunities to grow technical and critical thinking skills, serving as a pathway toward future nursing opportunities within Deaconess.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program (AACN, CCNE, or ACEN)
- Completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations
- Active BLS certification
- Submission of unofficial transcript
Responsibilities
