About The Position
This position will mentor for two sections of PHI-102, Symbolic Logic, with Professor Fennell for the Fall 2026 semester. The course meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8-8:50 AM and 1:10-2 PM. The student mentor will serve as a positive academic and social resource to others by promoting academic success, persistence, and providing direction to appropriate services and staff. The mentor must be able to maintain confidentiality with shared information and possess strong interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Must have previously taken and successfully passed this course (Symbolic Logic - PHI-102)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with shared information
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Attend class
- Meet with supervising professor
- Create lesson plans
- Facilitate weekly mentor sessions for students in the class
