Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in pre-med, nursing, or a related healthcare field.
Eager to learn and committed to providing excellent patient care.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with medical/psychiatric terminology is a plus but not required.
Bilingual candidates are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Gain clinical exposure by preparing patient rooms, setting up instruments, and assisting with basic procedures.
Assist with direct patient care, including helping patients with transfers, collecting specimens, and preparing for exams.
Perform phlebotomy and learn essential clinical techniques under supervision.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance eligibility and organizing patient flow.
Interact with patients and healthcare providers, developing essential communication and professional skills.
Handle medical records in compliance with HIPAA, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at healthcare operations.
Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and the PA Department of Health standards.
