About The Position
Beloit Health System is offering a Student Medical Assistant Scholarship Program for selected candidates to work at Beloit Clinic while attending school to become a Medical Assistant. The program is open to internal and external applicants and provides educational support. Students gain hands-on experience while learning alongside an experienced healthcare team. Courses and the position are scheduled to start in January 2027.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- If selected, comply with Beloit Health System policies and guidelines.
- If selected, apply for and be accepted into the Medical Assistant program at a participating partner school.
- Applicants must be received by 10/31/2026; late applicants will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of Medical Assistants and Nurses.
- Participate in clinic meetings and skills training sessions.
- Work with an assigned preceptor to complete required competencies.
- Successfully complete all training and educational requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to and participate in call alerts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
