JOB PURPOSE: Assist with day-to-day operations for the women’s volleyball staff and team. The Women’s Volleyball Student Manager is responsible for assisting the Cowgirls Volleyball Coaches with the daily operations of the Women’s volleyball program. The position reports directly to the Director of Operations and indirectly to the Assistant volleyball Coach and Head volleyball Coach. Duties for all managers include attendance at all practice times and home games, pre-practice and pre-game set up as well as duties assigned by the coaches. Specific duties will be assigned to each manager depending on preference and performance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Currently enrolled as a UW student
Experience in athletics with the understanding of team hierarchy
Experience and ability to work with minimal supervision and display professional integrity
Availability to work 20 hours per week
Presence at home games

Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail
Previous experience as a volleyball player at the high school or collegiate level
Ability to prioritize needs and responsibilities of the team and coaches effectively
