About The Position

This position assists in the daily operation of the mail center by processing incoming and outgoing mail. The role involves providing departments with mail delivery and packaging services, metering and delivering mail to students, faculty, and staff, and maintaining and organizing the Mail Center. The employee serves as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ by partnering with the University to disciple students and with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers.

Requirements

  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
  • Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
