About The Position
Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern to join its Transportation Market in the Chicago, Illinois office. The intern will work on a wide range of general civil engineering tasks and gain experience in drainage design, highway and airfield design, and civil engineering site design for local, national, and international projects. The role is onsite.
Requirements
- Have attained at least sophomore standing in college.
- Be currently and actively enrolled in a four-year college or university.
- Be actively pursuing at least a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Previous experience with engineering design and analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Perform transportation-related design and drafting tasks using Bentley OpenRoads Designer roadway design software.
- Work with senior designers and design teams to solve engineering problems and produce high-quality design documents.
- Perform occasional field-related tasks.
- Prepare and check design computations and quantity estimates.
