About The Position

The Hartford's Early Immersion Program is ideal for high achieving college sophomores interested in exploring internships and career opportunities in the insurance industry. This event will take place the first week in August 2026. Select students who participate in the program will be invited to interview for summer internship opportunities before positions become available.

Requirements

• Sophomore level class standing (2028 graduation date)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale or equivalent)
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Record of high achievement, self-motivation, ability to multi-task and a strong work ethic
• Availability to commit to two consecutive dates in August
• Interest in any of the following career fields: Actuarial Science, Claims, Finance, Investment Management, Marketing, Operations, Technology & Data, Risk Management, Underwriting or other insurance related careers

Responsibilities

• Participate in professional development workshops.
• Engage in networking activities.
• Experience a mini case competition.
• Attend the event in-person both days in our Hartford, CT office.
