About The Position

The iJAG Immersion Program is designed for current iJAG students and iJAG graduates to gain a head start on their career after high school. This program offers a hands-on learning and development opportunity at Principal, preparing participants for potential full-time roles. iJAG participants will attend weekly development workshops at the corporate headquarters in downtown Des Moines, IA, focusing on job attainment skills, resume building, and interview honing. The program aims to help participants learn more about entry-level positions that align with their skills and interests, and to network with Principal leaders and employees. This position will focus on building business sense, refining resumes, and improving interview skills, serving as an excellent preparation for future careers.

Requirements

Current participant of the iJAG program or iJAG graduate.
Ability to learn and understand insurance and financial products.
Great teammate and able to work well with others.
Ability to learn Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software packages.
Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Involvement in extracurricular activities in school or within the community preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in development workshops, learning and developing job obtainment skills to better position yourself for fulltime employment opportunities.
Engage in workshops that entail both individual online and activity-based learning.
Build a formal professional resume in preparation for applying for fulltime jobs.
Develop and hone interviewing skills.
Learn more about entry-level positions and what may align with your skills and interests.
