About The Position

Opportunity for a college/university student (currently enrolled) to work around their schedule with the Community Health / Social Services for Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, IL. Preference for those majoring in a related field for greater impact to their studies and the community. This is a grant funded intern position. To meet the guidelines of the grant, we'd like to have a college student who is from one of the following Chicago zip codes: 60608, 60609, 60612, 60615, 60617, 60619, 60620, 60621, 60622, 60623, 60624, 60629, 60632, 60632, 60636, 60637, 60639, 60644, 60647, 60649, 60651, 60653, 60707, 60827.

Requirements

  • College/University undergraduate, currently enrolled.
  • Excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and ability to respond creatively to a rapidly changing environment required.
  • Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties including patient and family visits, delivery of support services, studies, investigations, research projects, and other assignments.
  • Provides administrative coverage of the office such as answering phone and maintaining computer data. Types documents such as letters and creates spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assists with research projects, data analysis, and/or creating various reports. Assists with entering data and filing.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels within the System and with the public.
