About The Position
Oak Valley Health is seeking a Student Intern for its Analytics and Business Intelligence team. This role is ideal for students with an analytical background interested in a career in Healthcare Analytics. The intern will support the team in a complex problem-solving, fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to various hospital data and analytical tools. The team consists of experienced analysts and developers. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Requirements
- Completed at least 2nd year of a Computer Science/Engineering/Healthcare Analytics Program.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability for self learning and innovation.

Responsibilities
- Convert SAS reference code to SQL/Python for CIHI and Ministry indicators/metrics
- Create Power BI dashboards
- Automation of manual data processes
- Develop data quality checks
- Develop AI models
- Document processes
- Document data dictionary
- Manage the execution and tracking of department continuous improvement initiatives
- Improve quality and efficiency within the development process; process optimization
