About The Position
Provide basic first aid to all attendees at eight outdoor Commencement ceremonies. This role involves responding to emergency medical aid during special events, treating and triaging medical injuries and illnesses, communicating with Public Safety via radio, and reporting patient assessment to the Orange Fire Department. Attendance at monthly training meetings is also required.
Requirements
- Capable of handling emergency action planning
- CPR certified
- Knowledge of treating choking, hemorrhaging, and shock
- Knowledge of emergency transport procedures
- Knowledge of treating open wounds
- Knowledge of universal precautions
- Knowledge of treating environmental injury/illness
- Knowledge of treating anaphylaxis and asthma attacks
