About The Position
Provide basic first-aid emergency medical response for special events. Attend mandatory skills training.
Requirements
- Certified and capable of handling emergency action planning
- Certified and capable of handling CPR
- Certified and capable of handling choking, hemorrhaging, and shock
- Certified and capable of handling emergency transport
- Certified and capable of handling open wounds
- Certified and capable of handling universal precautions
- Certified and capable of handling environmental injury/illness
- Certified and capable of handling anaphylaxis and asthma attacks
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency medical aid during special events
- Treat and triage medical injuries and illnesses
- Communicate with Public Safety via radio
- Report patient assessment to higher level of care Orange Fire Department
- Maintain emergency medical equipment and supplies as necessary each shift
- Assist with tabling and education events
