The Student Financial Aid Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial aid department of Texas Tech University by providing comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and administration of student financial aid programs. This position involves meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial aid policies and regulations. In addition to managing financial aid program administration and participating in all areas of processing during peak times, this position would be expected to play a significant role in assisting with the execution of a particular program (unaccepted loans for students with balances, allocation of SEOG funds, awarding of FWS funding, etc). The Financial Aid Analyst - Federal/State Work Study is responsible for the strategic direction, management, and oversight of the university's student employment and federal work-study programs. This role involves aligning student employment opportunities with the institution's mission, ensuring compliance with Title IV regulations, federal and state labor laws, and internal policies. The Financial Aid Analyst - Federal/State Work Study will lead the office to enhance employment opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Overseeing the University's adherence to Title IV regulations, federal and state labor laws, and federal work-study policies. Collaborate with campus and community partners to represent the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office at student employment recruitment events, financial aid information sessions, and orientation programs. Provide excellent support and training to students, supervisors, and payroll coordinators on federal and state work study guidelines Implementing, refining, and optimizing student employment systems to enhance user experience and improve processes. Fostering campus-wide collaboration by engaging with supervisors, payroll coordinators, and a student advisory board. Providing critical financial reporting and managing Job Location and Development (JLD) funds strategically. Provide oversight of funds that are distributed across all departments throughout the institution Work collaboratively with HR, off campus employers, and the University Career Center to ensure eligible students have access to job opportunities across campus Ensures FWS and state work funds are reconciled monthly for year-end reporting and fund drawdowns.
