AS Project Connect Recruitment and Retention Center’s philosophy is creating opportunities for networking, navigating, and making college transition easier. Project Connect exists to empower and involve the student body to promote higher education and facilitate graduation for low-income and historically underrepresented communities. Project Connect is an equity and social justice program that strives to impact future generations of SF State students by sharing with them university life experiences and campus resources. Project Connect has four (4) departments: Book Loan, Outreach, Retention, and Internship. The Book Loan Department offers free textbooks, e-books, access codes, i-clickers, and other academic resources to all SFSU students in need. Students submit an application and can request up to three textbooks each semester.
