About The Position

At U. S. Steel, environmental stewardship is a core value of our Company. U. S. Steel’s Environmental Engineers are problem-solvers and contingency planners for every environmental issue involved in the steel manufacturing process. This internship position will work directly with the Environmental Manager to assist the business unit in maintaining compliance with Air, Water, and Waste regulations.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Environmental Science Management, Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2027 and be in good academic standing
  • Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
