About The Position

U. S. Steel Logistics Services is seeking student employees for the Summer of 2027. Logistics is responsible for the shipment of steel out of all our mills and processors. We work with trucking companies, railroads and barge lines to ship steel from mill to mill, mill to processor, mill to customer, processor to processor and processor to customer. Logistics is notified by Sales or processed products or plant business of what to ship, planning when to ship and where to ship using the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Requirements

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Accounting or Business
Proficient in MS Office: word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and statistical applications required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Ability to handle and complete several assignments simultaneously
Safety Conscious in an office environment
Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree
Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2027 and be in good academic standing
Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
