This is a fast-paced, 80-hour state-certified nurse aide training program. To be considered for the class, applicants must provide a completed application, proof of High School Diploma or GED, valid photo identification, and Social Security Card at the time of their scheduled Pre-Test. A criminal background check and review of abuse registries will be conducted. Individuals with felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or those found on abuse registries cannot be admitted. The program has a strict attendance policy with no absences or tardies permitted, and students must achieve a minimum score of 80 on all assignments to remain in the class. Students will be responsible for purchasing uniforms (royal blue scrubs) and any additional school supplies. Facial piercings are not allowed except for earrings. Class hours will vary based on demand. Selection of students will be based on facility need, shift availability, candidate flexibility, previous work history, and attitude. Employment is not guaranteed upon successful completion of the class, after which students will be eligible to take their state board exam.
