About The Position

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time (less than 15 hrs/week) Student Clerk at our Food Store location in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. Requirements

  • Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
  • Strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
  • Ability to fulfill physical job requirements; extensive physical labour is required, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Possess a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves.
  • Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in first out (FIFO).
  • Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department; clean breakage, spills, shelves, bins, and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
  • Operate point of sale system and other electronic devices to process sales.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to tobacco and lottery.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
