About The Position

The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset. The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Information Systems, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams with support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Able to handle sensitive access and permissions information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with common enterprise SaaS tools (CRM, ERP, HRIS, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interview department leads to document current tool usage and access patterns across all teams.
  • Map systems, applications, and files to three standardized permission roles — Analyst (read-only), Engineer (edit), and Admin (configuration) — for each department.
  • Identify access gaps, over-privileged accounts, or undocumented tools and flag them for IT review.
  • Build and maintain a master role-based access control (RBAC) matrix spanning all departments.
  • Coordinate with IT to validate access mappings against live system configurations.
  • Draft role definition documentation for use in onboarding, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations on findings using Excel and/or PowerPoint.
  • Present final recommendations to HR and IT leadership at the close of the internship.
