About The Position

The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset. The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Manufacturing/Operations
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional roles with support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, adept at working with data.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Attend quality gemba walks to monitor the quality of the product and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager, Process Engineer, and Management Team.
  • Provide project support for the Global Performance System (GPS) Pillars.
  • Attend Production Meetings, Focused Improvement Meetings, and other GPS Meetings as necessary.
  • Provide support for Certificates of Analysis and Customer Specifications.
  • Scan production jobs for color accuracy via ColorCert.
  • Maintain GPS KPIs/ Loss charts and report out to management.
  • Utilize GlobalVision system to inspect finished products.
  • Provide support for Defect detection and Vision systems.
  • Review Vision system reports and provide feedback to management team.
  • Help design, implement and maintain new quality systems.

  • Compensation: Based on year of college student is enrolled in: Freshman - $15.50 Sophomore - $16.25 Junior - $18.00 Senior - $19.50
