A student enrolled in the TTU System employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor. Provide health, safety, and environmental consultation to faculty, staff, students, and campus stakeholders while promoting compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. Support the department through environmental protection, laboratory safety, radiation safety, fire and life safety, and emergency preparedness programs for the campus community. Conduct safety inspections, audits, surveys, and incident investigations; identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Monitor laboratory safety compliance, maintain safety records and certifications, and perform inspections of safety equipment, including chemical fume hoods, eyewash stations, and safety showers. Assist with hazardous materials and waste management activities, including chemical accountability, hazardous waste disposal, spill response, and regulatory recordkeeping. Participate in safety training, indoor air quality(IAQ), respiratory fit testing, AED management, cross-functional safety initiatives, and other programs that promote a strong culture of safety across the institution.
