About The Position

The Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions plays a vital role in exemplifying the mission, values and life at Regis University. The Student Ambassador will report to the Assistant Director, Project Management and support University Marketing and the Office of Admissions in various ways to promote Regis University and ensure prospective students and families are offered quality campus visit experiences. Student Ambassadors will work directly with the Visit Experience and Events Team to ensure campus visits and events meet specific expectations. General knowledge of the university is recommended. Students Ambassadors will provide campus tours during campus visits and be involved in admissions events by assisting in event preparation, executing specific responsibilities during the day of, giving presentations and being on student panels.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled full-time.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Maintain positive and proactive customer service behaviors.
  • Willingness to learn and become familiar with numerous policies/procedures to complete tasks and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to converse and interact with diverse populations and group sizes.
  • Ability to answer questions correctly and informatively in a friendly, patient manner.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a group and individually.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling student records and information.
  • Be punctual, dependable, honest, communicative and professional.

Responsibilities

  • Provide campus tours during campus visits.
  • Assist in event preparation for admissions events.
  • Execute specific responsibilities during admissions events.
  • Give presentations during admissions events.
  • Participate on student panels during admissions events.
  • Prepare campus materials for visitors.
  • Assist with marketing projects, email campaigns and social media posts.
  • Participate in outreach to students and families regarding events, reminders, etc.
  • Contribute to and strengthen the University’s culture of respect, inclusion and equity.
  • Perform work in alignment with the mission of the University, especially with its Catholic and Jesuit values.

  • 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
