About The Position

The Freeman School's Career Management Center (CMC) empowers students to discover meaningful careers and develop the skills, confidence, and connections needed to achieve their professional goals. We're looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to partner with our Career Consultants in delivering Career Development & Management (CDMA 2201). Teaching Assistants are an integral part of the undergraduate career education experience, helping facilitate classroom learning, provide meaningful feedback, and mentor students as they develop the professional skills needed to secure internships and launch successful careers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Good academic standing while pursuing a graduate degree at Tulane University.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and data management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or leading others is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Teaching Assistant for assigned sections of CDMA 2201.
  • Evaluate assignments, quizzes, discussion posts, presentations, and other coursework using established grading rubrics.
  • Monitor Canvas, record grades, and assist with course administration.
  • Track attendance and support classroom operations.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to student questions.
  • Help prepare course materials and classroom activities.
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, and occasional classroom observations.
  • Support career education initiatives and special projects.
  • Assist with Career Management Center events and workshops.
  • Collaborate with Career Consultants to continuously improve the student learning experience.
  • Perform other related duties that advance the Career Management Center's mission.
