About The Position

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is a 100% employee-owned consulting firm seeking an Engineering Office Leader with structural or roadway engineering experience to manage the operations of the Atlanta office. This role involves business, marketing, and strategic planning, fostering growth, and collaborating with JMT's various practices. The leader will provide direction to enhance business operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising office staff, coordinating with regional and corporate offices, and driving growth for GA staff and clients. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, capable of inspiring, motivating, building teams, and communicating effectively.

Requirements

Structural or roadway engineering experience
Strong leadership skills
Ability to inspire, motivate, and build teams
Effective communication skills
Professional licensure in Georgia

Responsibilities

Maintain existing and develop new clients
Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve project questions
Monitor and manage work-in-process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable, including initial collection efforts for projects
Forecast administrative, staffing, and facility needs for the office
Review the design and production work of staff to ensure it meets professional and company standards
Ensure work is completed on time and within budget
Coordinate with JMT Senior Management on the performance of the branch office
Coordinate and execute marketing and financial objectives and policies established by the Board of Directors
Coordinate manpower assignments with the main office based on project needs
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with firm policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems
Maintain professional licensure in Georgia
Supervise the production of construction documents, facility studies, and engineering reports
Seal/sign construction documents
