Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Civil Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Aftermarket notifications, Engineering Authorizations, or Change Request Technical Substantiation Package (CRTSPs).
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated knowledge of aerospace systems or turbofan engine technology.
- Experience with structural finite element methods, hand-calculations, and use of ANSYS.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, SAP, and other business software.
- Demonstrated effective communication and task coordination
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis in support of military engine MRO and supportability.
- Use finite element analysis and classical methods to evaluate for strength, deflection, vibration, fatigue life, and damage tolerance.
- Participate as the structure’s representative on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost, and weight.
- Work to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.
- Document analysis results and present conclusions to PW management and external customers.
