Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering obtained by start date
  • Experience solving complex technical solutions through coursework, projects, research, On the job training or internships
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience applying strong technical problem‑solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly through written and verbal communication
  • Experience driving results and completing tasks with a high level of ownership and follow‑through
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in fast‑paced, collaborative team environments
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Empowered to independently execute discrete tasks with strategic guidance from senior engineers
  • Supporting tasks from preliminary design through engine development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service
  • Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight; and cover validation testing (engine & rig) and data-reduction
  • Supporting production and in-service field investigations
  • Coordinate with others to advance the technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods, plus document and present results to management
