Structured Finance - Structured Credit & CLOs, Senior Director - New York
About The Position
Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Director to join its Structured Credit & CLOs group in its New York office. This role involves leading and overseeing a team of analysts in the ratings analysis on structured credit transactions using proprietary models. The position also requires serving as Chair or senior member for credit committees, guiding rating decisions and outcomes, and authoring and reviewing complex commentary and research reports to inform market participants and set industry standards. The role contributes to the development and enhancement of rating methodologies and analytical frameworks, represents Fitch at external events, conferences, and with market participants as a senior spokesperson, and mentors and trains junior analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and development. Collaboration with senior management to set strategic direction for the Structured Credit group is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economics
- At least 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with significant exposure to CLOs and/or Structured Finance
- Exceptional analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and meticulous attention to detail
- High levels of leadership, personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management
- Ability to communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly, both internally and externally
- Strong interest in capital markets and structured finance
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and leading teams
