Data Center Cable Installer
About The Position
Kinaras Solutions Inc. is hiring a Structured Cabling Installer for a new construction data center in Manassas, VA. This is a hands-on role for someone who can install at a high standard. The role involves executing copper and fiber installation activities, including pathway coordination, cable routing, high-quality dressing, labeling, and port/cable ID control. It also includes patch panel and fiber enclosure/cassette installs, sequencing, and coordination with site leadership and other trades. A key aspect of the role is QA/QC to avoid rework, ensuring label accuracy, proper bend radius, cleanliness, and overall workmanship. The installer will also support punch list closure and turnover readiness, including documentation, photos, and redlines/as-builts as required. Maintaining safe work practices and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements is paramount.
Requirements
- 1+ years of structured cabling experience (copper + fiber)
- Proven experience on active construction sites
- Strong installation standards and ability to maintain quality at production speed
- Ability to troubleshoot field issues and keep work moving (materials, access, coordination)
- Ability to pass site onboarding requirements (background check/badging)
- Reliable transportation to the Manassas, VA site
Nice To Haves
- New-build data center experience
- High-density fiber experience (MPO/MTP, trunk/cassette systems, polarity awareness)
- Testing leadership (owns or reviews copper/fiber test results and closeout documentation)
- OSHA-10
Responsibilities
