Cable Installer
About The Position
This is a contract position that is 6 months, with the possibility of converting to a permanent role. The company is seeking experienced technicians with termination experience to join their team. Responsibilities include pulling cable as directed by a Sr. Installer or per manufacturer's guidelines, meeting or exceeding projected production goals, and performing other duties as assigned. The role may involve installing support structures and IT network hardware, performing maintenance, cabling, electrical, or wiring duties within a healthcare/hospital environment. A strong work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and commitment to safety are essential. The client has strict attendance policies.
Requirements
- Termination experience.
- Proficient with basic hand tools (e.g., punch down, snips, wire strippers, etc.).
- Must provide own tools.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Must have hard work ethic, drive, initiative, professionalism, committed to safety, and reliable.
- Must have hard hat and safety glasses.
- Critical thinking skills to think outside the box with new technologies.
- Ability to learn and take on new responsibilities without constant supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cat 5, Cat 6, Fiber.
- Experience with Pulling, Termination, Punchdown, Service, Technician, Cable, Cat5, Cabling, Cable installation, Cable puller, Structured cabling, Cable tech, Low voltage.
Responsibilities
- Pulling cable as directed by Sr. Installer or per manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Meet or exceed projected production of the job.
- Perform other specific duties as directed by Sr. Installer.
- Help install support structures and IT network hardware (servers, racks, j-hooks).
- Perform other maintenance, cabling, electrical, or wiring duties inside the healthcare/hospital environment.
- Adhere to Jacobs Telephone Consultants Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to customer policies and safety rules on the job site.
- Develop and maintain a "Safety Attitude".
