About The Position

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. The role involves working inside and outside data centers, requiring hard-working individuals. The shift is Monday-Friday, 6 am-5 pm. The technician will pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling. They will operate tools and equipment that normally require the use of two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

Requirements

Network equipment experience
Cat6 termination
Fiber knowledge
Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools
Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements
Must know the universal communications color codes

Responsibilities

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices
Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware)
Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required
Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling
Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
