About The Position
Austin Engineering USA is seeking skilled Structural Welders to fabricate and repair heavy mining equipment using a variety of welding processes. You'll work on large structural components including truck bodies, buckets, cable reels, and water tanks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
- Experience with GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding.
- Ability to pass a structural welding test.
- Ability to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using air arc and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding on heavy structural components.
- Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Operate air arc equipment, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Inspect completed welds and repair defects as needed.
- Read and follow welding procedures, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
- Safely operate overhead hoists and handle heavy materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
