About The Position

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Welder to join its team in La Grange Park, Illinois. The Welder performs skilled welding and cutting work using MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding equipment. Work may involve pipe, machine parts, metal structures, fixtures, and fittings, under the direct supervision of the Welding Prefab Manager and other designated supervisors. The work environment includes a shop, with some field work. Travel to national projects may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school, a four-year apprenticeship, and/or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a welder at journeyman level.
• At least 2 years of experience in a shop or production facility.
• Technical proficiency with standard machine shop equipment, such as a drill press, band saw, and iron workers, and related hand tools.
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform job duties, including heavy lifting.
• Ability to wear and use all personal protective equipment required to perform the job safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare objects for welding by cleaning and filing them, and positioning, aligning, and clamping loose parts.
• Evaluate, repair, and/or fabricate items as required.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and job specifications.
• Use standard hand tools and power tools proficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required.
