About The Position

We are now accepting applications/resumes for EXPERIENCED Structural Welders for the Jeanerette, LA and surrounding area. This is not an entry-level position, and candidate should have a solid understanding of some of the following: Must be able weld 3G/4G Experience with FLUXCORE welding. Scope of Work: Repair and Maintenance.

Requirements

Experienced Structural Welder
Solid understanding of welding
Must be able to weld 3G/4G
Experience with FLUXCORE welding
Must have own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves), welding hood, welding shirts, and welding gloves
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass drug screen

Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance
Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
Employ their knowledge of metallurgy and geometry to provide welding solutions and recommendations
Set up, evaluate, and operate various welding equipment and tools
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications
Must be comfortable working at different heights
Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
Ability to use hand tools to achieve proper surface texture
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
