About The Position

CIMCO is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Structural Welder to join our team. This role goes beyond welding as it also involves hands-on work with hoisting, rigging, and structural assembly. We currently run two shifts: Days (Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Fridays 6am-12pm) and Afternoons (Monday- Thursday 2:45pm – 1:15am). Requirements

Structural welding experience
Proven experience in hoisting and rigging operations
Familiarity with structural assembly and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
Strong understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work in a unionized environment

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is an asset

Responsibilities

Perform structural welding on carbon steel and steel components using MIG and/or flux core techniques
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
Finding and fixing faults in weldments
Safely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials
Assemble structural components according to engineering plans
Inspect welds and assemblies for quality and compliance
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment as needed
