About The Position

Riley Power Group, LLC is hiring skilled first-class Structural Welders for multiple sites in the United States. This Tier III position is intended for candidates with at least four years of experience. Pay is based on years of experience. Candidates must pass a background check and hair-follicle drug screen, and should submit a fully updated résumé. The role involves welding carbon-steel assemblies—including OSS, HSS, HY, and HSLA materials—to required tolerances and in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Welders determine weld sequence, interpret weld symbols, use oxy/fuel preheat and carbon-arc gouging, verify weld size with gauges, and monitor heat input and sequence to minimize distortion. Candidates should have experience with GMAW-SP and GMAW-P, be able to pass all-position weld tests in accordance with NAVSEA requirements, and have UT proficiency. The role includes welding note 18 joints: full-penetration, open-root joints welded from one side to UT quality. Work may involve 8-to-12-hour shifts, multiple shifts, overtime, and schedules set by the client. Physical and environmental conditions may include lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders up to 25 feet, confined spaces, and potential exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and radiation. Respirator fit-check and use may be required for some or all of a shift; employees must be clean-shaven for fit-check and respirator donning. Applicants must complete and pass applicable pre-employment and employment screening, which may include medical, psychological (if required by the site), background, and substance-abuse screenings. Work authorization documentation includes photo identification and proof of U.S. citizenship from the specified accepted documents. RPG participates in E-Verify. Additional duties may be assigned beyond those listed. RPG is an equal opportunity employer; client-specific physical, screening, or citizenship requirements may apply.
