About The Position
This role involves welding structural steel parts according to specified drawings and weld symbols. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring correct welding of structural components through visual inspection and safely operating various tools of the trade, including overhead cranes, air arc, grinders, and magnetic drills. The position utilizes flux core welding in a 2G/3G capacity.
Requirements
- Welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G with applicable experience
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to interpret fabrication and construction drawings
- Prior Experience Operating Overhead Cranes
- Prior welding experience in Flux core ideal
- 1 2G/3G Certification preferred
- Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities
- Welding structural steel parts as specified per drawings and marked up weld symbols
- Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection
- Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade
- Flux core welding 2G/3G
