Imperial Metal is seeking a Structural Steel Welder/Fitter for their evening shift. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and fitting structural and miscellaneous steel according to project specifications and delivery schedules. Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and fit structural and miscellaneous steel while maintaining quality and accuracy as outlined by project specifications.
Ensure delivery targets are met as per schedule.
Read and interpret design drawings.
Collaborate with workshop foreman to provide solutions for design or material issues.
Plan work sequence and cut material to ensure cost effectiveness.
Produce assemblies with accuracy as per drawing specifications.
Organize and label parts clearly and accurately.
Set up and operate various equipment such as torches, drills, various clamping tools, squares, disc grinders and other handheld tools.
Adhere to all safety standards and keep workstation clean and organized.
Provide data for daily production report.
Keep work area clean.
Liaise with shop foreman pertaining to tool and equipment maintenance and performance.
