About The Position

The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of our four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for our Energy Global Business Unit, but we may also require the selected candidate to have future mobility to one of our other Global Business Units in a different location. The ideal candidate will have market sector/ sub sector construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology (semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical, data centers, fire power generation), infrastructure (aviation, rail, roads/bridges), mining and minerals (water treatment plant, mineral extraction, metal refining), & nuclear, security, and environmental (nuclear power epc, power distribution, combined cycle, defense and space, environmental cleanup). As needs arise in our growing business, there will be expectation for the candidate to be fully mobile. In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Requirements

Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
Understanding of structural steel design and AISC code requirements
Must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and Bechtel database applications. Must be familiar with current industry quality standards.
Knowledge of Project Technical Requests (PTR) for routing and resolving Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Documents (FCDs), and Non Conformance/Compliance Reports (NCRs) between project sites, contractors, clients, and home office. Knowledge of work packaging.
Basic understanding of production management including scheduling.
Sound communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.
Direct hire construction experience

Responsibilities

Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittments
