About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Steel Erectors for projects located in or around Salem, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of steel erection tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience in structural steel erection preferred
Responsibilities
- Erect and install structural steel components
- Connect steel beams, columns, girders, and other structural members according to blueprints and specifications
- Bolt, weld, and secure steel components in place
- Guide cranes and rigging crews during lifting and placement operations
- Install metal decking, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel components
- Verify alignment, ensuring it is plum and structural integrity of installed steel
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule
