About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Revit Designer to join our Structures team in Phoenix, AZ! This individual will primarily be responsible for structural design/drafting assignments requiring advanced working knowledge of structural design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques in building structural, site structural, and heavy structural elements in concrete, masonry, steel, and wood. This person will develop technical drawings and plans using REVIT software. The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations. Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks. Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes. Maintains drawing database. Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control. Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
  • Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willingness to mentor and teach others
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
